Copyright Infringement Notification and Takedown Policy
PrismHost respects the rights of copyright owners and is committed to complying with the applicable intellectual property laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, including the Copyright Ordinance, 1962 (as amended) and the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 (PECA). If you (“Complainant”) believe that your copyrighted work has been reproduced, distributed, or otherwise used without authorisation by a customer receiving web hosting services from PrismHost, please submit a written notification to the PrismHost Abuse Team containing the information set out below. This procedure is exclusively for notifying PrismHost of alleged copyright infringement on services hosted by PrismHost.
To be treated as a valid notification, your complaint must include
A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or of a person legally authorised to act on the owner’s behalf. A clear description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, along with evidence of ownership where available (for example, a certificate of registration issued by the Intellectual Property Organisation of Pakistan (IPO-Pakistan), or other proof of authorship). The precise location (URL or web address) of the material on the hosted website that you claim is infringing, sufficient to allow PrismHost to identify and locate it. Your full name, postal address, telephone number, CNIC or NTN number (for individuals and businesses respectively, where applicable), and email address. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law. A statement, made under oath or affirmation, that the information contained in your notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are legally authorised to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.

Notice and Takedown Procedure
Upon receipt of a credible and complete notification of copyright infringement, or where PrismHost otherwise becomes aware of facts and circumstances from which infringement is apparent, PrismHost will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material. PrismHost will also notify the affected customer of the action taken and provide them with a copy of the complaint, where appropriate. PrismHost reserves the right to request additional information or clarification before acting on a notification that is incomplete or unclear.
Counter-Notification
If you are a PrismHost customer and you have received notice that material has been removed or access to it has been disabled, and you believe in good faith that this action was taken in error or as a result of misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification in writing to the designated contact address above, or by email to [email protected]. Your counter-notification must include: Your physical or electronic signature (type your full name). Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled, and the location at which it appeared before removal. A statement, made under oath or affirmation, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification. Your full name, postal address, telephone number, and CNIC or NTN number (where applicable), together with a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Pakistan, and that you will accept service of legal process from the Complainant or the Complainant’s authorised agent. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, PrismHost will promptly forward a copy to the Complainant and inform them that the removed material will be restored, or access to it re-enabled, within ten (10) working days. PrismHost may restore the material no sooner than ten (10) and no later than fourteen (14) working days following receipt of the counter-notification, unless PrismHost first receives notice from the Complainant that legal proceedings have been initiated before a competent court in Pakistan seeking an order to restrain the customer from the alleged infringing activity. Please note before submitting a counter-notification: Any person who knowingly makes a false or materially misleading statement in a notification or counter-notification may be liable for damages, costs, and other remedies under the laws of Pakistan, including the Copyright Ordinance, 1962, the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860, and the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016.
Repeat Infringers
PrismHost may, at its sole discretion and in appropriate circumstances, suspend or terminate the accounts of customers who are found to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.
Accommodation of Standard Technical Measures
It is PrismHost’s policy to accommodate, and not interfere with, standard technical measures used by copyright owners to identify or protect copyrighted works, provided that such measures (1) have been developed through a broad consensus of copyright owners and service providers in an open, fair, and voluntary multi-industry standards process; (2) are available to any person on reasonable and non-discriminatory terms; and (3) do not impose substantial costs on PrismHost or place substantial burdens on its systems or networks.
